Scheels Outfitter Rods

Recommended Posts

Anyone use the new line of Scheels muskie rods? Sounds like they are made by the same company overseas that Fenwick uses. Same guides, seats, cork, blanks, etc. Sounds like a good warranty...if they break, bring them in and you'll get a new rod for as long as you own it. Any users out there?

AS long as they don't break on a fish of a lifetime......looked at them the other day, look pretty good, now that I hear Fenwick though I would have to try one to tell.Never been a fan of their heavier rods. Just personal opinion, no real long term use to back it up.

I have a scheels bulldawg rod. cost me like $100. It is a decent rod but at 8ft it only has 9 guides. lifetime warrenty.. step on it, smash it in the car door, break it over your knee, warrenty. Just take it back and get a new one.

I picked up the rod and a Revo 60 last night. Taking it out to Mille Lacs tomorrow to try the combo out. Hope all goes well. One associate tells me it's made by Fenwick, the other says its a no namer. Hmmmmmmm. Ohhh well. As long as it catches fish, I'm happy!
