Huskie
When you check the plugs on the motor, how "wet" should they be, I'm wondering if my motor is set too rich. What is the easiest way to locate a leak in an aluminum boat? Is it possible to fill it with water if there is nothing visible? Mine is taking in a little water, could be the livewell line too I guess.
Eric Wettschreck
Plugs should actually be dry. Maybe a little damp but not dripping.Put the boat on the trailer and put some water in it. Don't have to fill it all the way, just to the normal water line. Start crawling around under it. If a rivet is leaking you'll see it. Eelpout08
if the fuel mixture is right the plugs should be a cardboard color, black = rich, white = lean. you can find charts on the net to get a better idea about plug reading. carefull when you are filling with water- thats a lot of weight and if its not supported good enough bad things can happen!
