reality check in simplicity

this past weekend i took my sister in law and her boyfriend out fishing on my little boat. both of them have been delt bad cards if you will. how ever they taught me simplicity while i threw out every cool lure i could think of they had 2 bobbers between them some hooks there rods where $2 garage sale throw aways. they out fished me big time. they where so happy just to be out in a boat. and to forget things for a while. it just put my thinking of simplicity back in a reality check for me

Mrpike I know that lesson only to well and its a well deserved lesson in humility that all of us need once in awhile. besides you just never know you might just land the fish of a life time

The point of fishing lures is not to outfish bait

I fish the way I want to for the fun of it. If I wanted to catch the most fish, I'd stick to bait and hooks.
