I can't recall exactly what broke on them, it's been quite a while but they were of the
same vintage of what you're looking at.

As far as for the price, remember this. No matter how nice the boat looks, it's a 78 with old (questionable) technology. It might be worth a bit more than book but it would have to almost be a collectible to be worth $6k and
Starcrafts are not collectibles. A lot of people think "their" boats are worth so much
more than others but they're mistaken. If you
bought this boat, you might have an extremely
difficult time selling it again and then you'd be taking a bath on both ends (buying&selling)

There are lots of boats for sale; do some footwork and keep looking. Walk away from
this Starcraft.

Thanks Tom, I know a bit about boats, and I know that the 6k he wants is about 4k more than its worth, What I wanted to here from people is their opinion on the out drive, as far as looking for other boats, Im on it, Thanks again
