titelines
Best advice is to go out and try some different makes and models out. Sun Splash in Ely is a great place to start, and Midwest Mountaineering does some things in the cities. We have a Wilderness Systems Pamlico and it's great for what we use it for. Basic recreation, paddling lakes and rivers, nothing fancy. It won't accept a skirt, so we don't take it out in any rough stuff. What's nice is that it can be a two-person, or, with a couple quick adjustments can also be a solo. Very versatile that way.We also added a rudder to ours. When soloing you don't need it, but it is useful with two people. My strokes are stronger than my wife's, and that tends to affect our tracking quite a bit. The rudder solved that though. rattleL
Are the kinds at gander or cabelas any good we would just be using it for some light recreational paddling on smaller lakes and probably keep it up at her cabin.
