My group will be heading there in a few weeks. We are staying in one of the campgrounds within the Black Hills Nat'l Forest and/or Custer State Park, whatever it's supposed to be called. I did some research and it appears Stockade Lake is the only one close enough for us to fish. That's fine by me since largemouth bass is in there. Some questions for you guys:

Is any part of the lake considered private or no trespassing (I'm guessing "no")?

From the access parts where I see a docks on Google maps, will I be able to go off on foot and work the banks without too much trouble from tall grass, poison ivy, mud, snakes, mountain lions etc?
