Fisherman45
I have a 80 chrysler 45hp ob motor it starts and runs but only appears to fire and run on the top cylinder the bottom cylinder is all ways flooded. If I pull the plugs out and crank it over it shoots gas out of the bottom cylinder about 5 feet the top cylinder is the one that fires and no gas shoots out of the plug hole on that one. It had been sitting in a lean-to for 3-4 years but the problem started before that. Anyone have any Idea where I should start maybe a fuel pump diaphragm or something like that?ThanksBob
boatfixer
I believe the fuel pump gets its pulse from the bottom cylinder. Its very possible its the fuel pump diaphram. First thing I would check
broken_line
yep fuel pump would be it! i filled that space full of gas resistant silicone, and now run a electric fuel pump from a tractor on there.
