1900 Pro V Sonar Issues with high speed

Recommended Posts

Hi, I bought a 2006 lund pro v 1900 and have an LCX 25C, graph/gps combo on it and am frustrated with the loss of depth reading about 30 miles per hour. Any ideas? I have moved the transducer quite a bit already, but cant seem to make it work. Any ideas? How fast will sonar work, anyone know? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you....

You should be able to read your sonar at 50+ mph.

If you're losing the reading, tilt the back of the transducer down a bit to get more of a smooth flow of water across the face of the transducer. It's not like the diagram in the manual shows but it will mark fish just fine and should get you better performance at higher speeds.

After you've tilted the back of the transducer down a bit, try it. If you're still losing the signal then try dropping the transducer a bit lower.

Hope that helps, and good luck getting it to work.

One other thing is to look at the bottom of the boat in front of the transducer and see if there is anything that might mess with the water like rivets or ribs but I am pretty sure Perchjerker's advice should fix the problem.
