Lindy Shadlings

Got a chance to head out to Lake Pepin last week and try out the new shadlings by Lindy. Had my best luck on the redtail color number 7 and the Perch color number 7. I was able to tick bottom with the number 7 pretty consitently at 13 foot depths with 150 feet of line out on 10 pound power pro going about 2mph. Caught some fish in those depths but then switched over to leadcore and went into the 18-22 foot depths and that produced a little better. All In all a good day no trophys, but allot of nice walleye and saugers throughout the day. If you have not tried these yet they are definetly worth adding a few to your collection. They ran true out of the package, run at good depths for their size and have a nice rattle in them. I know most guys already have hundreds of cranks baits, but I would recommend mixing in some of these into your collection.

Thanks for the report. I picked up a few of these last weekend (because I NEEDED more cranks whistle ) and will be giving them a shot this summer. They look nice and I like the rattle....hopefully the walleyes will too!

With the little bit of current going I never really got much past 2mph I work around 1.8 - 2.2. I know some guys will rip it down there at 3mph or better, but I just didn't need to because I was catching fish with the method I was using. Like all cranks you have to play with line lenght speeds etc until you get it dialed in. I just know on Pepin I have alwaya had the best luck if my bait is just ticking the bottom every once in a while so I found that depth, speed and line length that worked and kept repeating it. If you guys run them faster let me know your findings
