Hoffer
Hey experts!!I am posting this for a friend. He has a 135 Optimax. Put the boat in the water this weekend. Charged the battery beforehand - but only for awhile - it was like 20%.The boat started and he ran around for awhile - and then the check engine warning came on. Could this be from a poorly charged battery - or are there any other things he can try to troubleshoot that would cause the check engine light to come on?He is trying to save a trip to the shop - and any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated!Hoffer
marine_man
Was it accompanied with any warning beeps?I would start with charging the battery fully... DFI engines require a lot of cranking amps to power their injection systems.marine_man
