Lowrance HDS side scan hookup

Question

Does anybody have any pics of how they posted the side scan transducer?? would like to see some of the different ways to mount it, I have a glass boat so that is why I am curious for any pics or info thanks....

I don't have photos but I can give you some help.

With a glass boat I assume you have a step in the hull. You can mount it horizontally right to the step if the step is longer than the transducer --- if the step is not long enough then mount it right below the step with the mouting bracket (that's what I did on my boat).

You can also mount it to the jackplate if you have one.

Since you don't need the LSS-1 transducer for conventional sonar, mount it higher than the bottom of your hull --- this protects the transducer, and eliminates any spray issues you would otherwise get. Mine is high enough that I start to lose my reading around 10 mph.
