Boat paint touch up

Hey guys-

I found a link on here on a few ideas on where to buy some touch up paint for a Crestliner. Some said to just go to an auto store an buy a small bottle of black and some said to go to a crestliner dealer and provide the serial number etc...

So, does anyone else have any updates on where they were able to find some good touch up paint to match the Crestliner black?

Last, and most importantly...do I need to prep the area to be touched up at all?? Or can I simply clean it and apply a little touch up paint?

I dont have serious marks...just a scratch or 2 from a canada trip - biggest mark is maybe an inch long in the back - but its pretty deep - so I was wondering if it needed to be prepped at all first?

Thanks!!

Hoffer

No prepping needed, other than a quick cleaning with paint thinner to make sure there's no grease or oil on the spot you're gonna touch up. Just buy some crestliner touch up and you're in business.
