hey,I am new to the area and walleye fishing is new to me. If i could get any hints/tips for fishing the croix river for walleye this coming weekend. Any tips on spots or what to use and how deep to fish them would be greatly appreciaed.

Your best bet is to go to the St Croix forum on this site.There will be some info on there for you.Walleye on the croix for the most part are usually caught within a foot or so from bottom so I would start with basic jigging just off bottom.Jig and minnow or crawler or leech will work.If you have a gps with mapping software or a mapping chip this will help you in locations.You will see alot of community fishing spots this weekend just look for groups of boats.If you like to troll,shad raps are a good bet.good luck this weekend and welcome to the forum.
