Hello everyone. I am new to the site, thought I would post an inquiry to help familiarity.

Is anyone familiar with or fished Rock Lake near Pillager, MN? The lake lies within the Pillsbury State Forest with a campground nearby.

gatorslayer - Two 10+ eyes?! Those are fish of a lifetime. I take it you caught them below the Sylvan Dam? I fish the river between the Pillager dam and Sylvan dam and have only caught a handful of walleyes, none of which came close to those hogs. Do you have any pictures to share with us?

The campground is pretty nice. The boat launch is right there which would be handy. I lived 2 mi from it for a year and a half. I speared it a lot and it's a snakie lakie fo sho. I let the very few fish over 6lbs I saw swim away but could get a limit of picklers in an hour or two. Most of the panfish I saw were small as well.

Good old Rock lake...Had a place on Rock for about 10 years..On the campground road. Great campground, believe it or not, one of the most popular in the state..always full, nicely kept up..on the water sites, free fire wood really good spring water pump...beautiful sand beach, hiking trails. Fair lake...weedy....pan fish and snake northerns..but makes for a great weekend campout...only 5 miles from Gull lake...Do it, its great
