perch fishing

Anybody fish for perch in the spring? i was thinking about going to mille lack and give it a try this weekend. where can i find them? Im guessing shallow.

I was up last week-end and gave them a shot. I didn't do anything last winter so I thought I would give the open water a shot. I got two that would classify as jumbos, big fat bellies full of eggs, I suppose them to be in the 11 inch range....but I got about 50 little chits to and I don't have the patience to sit on it waiting for the biggies. I got a couple, I felt good that I did what I had set out to do and they are still swimming.

You'll have to take your chances and find em I got one in about 7 feet of water and one in about 12 feet so.... ? Shoals of little perch.
