Fishin' Report

[Cyberfish]

Me and Basspastor fished the St Croix Saturday, by the StCroix bluffs access. Did pretty well in the morning with lots of saugers on a ¼ ounce jig with a fatead in 14 to 30 ft. BP got one that was close to three pounds! The bite slacked off around noon, so we went up by the Kinni, got a few short walleyes. After an hour with no more fish, we went back to the first spot and got a few more saugers, but they were biting really light, also a few small white bass. Right at sunset the walleyes sorta turned on, but they were too small. The weather was not too bad with the temp around 40º and not much wind. Not many boats out now, nice and peaceful. I would rather have it cold than have it warm with millions of people out there, this is the time to be fishin', dress warm and head out!

I tried stingers, but did not seem to get many bites with them. BP used a treble stinger, and it worked, but some of his fished were hooked on the wrong parts if you know what I mean
