Boat Value?

You can find some info on the NADA site. I don't particularly like it because I think it lowballs the values, but it's the only thing that I could find that acts like a sort of "blue book".

Otherwise, check hsolist and dealer sites and compare. When I was looking used a few years ago, I did notice that the dealers had a higher price compared to what was on sites like hsolist or carsoup. Presumably because they were dealers and need to be able to pay for staff, facilities, etc.

Remember: A boat isn't worth a penny more than you (or someone else) are willing to spend, regardless of what some folks will tell you.

...right on LegattoAD

On HSOList.com, dealer sites, or anywhere else, those prices are what the sellers are seeking to sell the boat for. They are not necessarily the boat's value. The more I studied boats (I looked for months), you'd start to see the variability in prices and eventually knew when boats were over priced.

Dealer websites will give an idea of what the retail price would be and NADA is a joke, not reflecting the true price in our area. To gather an idea, study HSO-Classifieds or that online auction site to see what similar boats are listing/selling for. There are some sites out there that list lots of boats for sale, a great place for research.

Remember, used stuff is really only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. What kind of boat is it?

Not familiar with that model. How does that compare to a pro sport? Or what does it compare to. I couldn't find any used in my searchs.

Its an 18 foot tiller boat. Similar to a Pro V. In fact i have no idea what the difference is.

I would not over look c-list as an option for boats there are alot of baots on there right now and at the very least you can start to get an idea of prices on boats.

Thatss till a fairl new boat and they tend to hold there value fairly well so compare to a new model from a dealer and some of the listed sites to decide if those few years of use by someone else are worth the discount to you!

Good luck they are almost as fun to shop around for as they are to use!

Your boat is basically a tiller version of the discontinued Mr. Pike. There are several late model Mr. Pikes for sale right now. Figure out what the average percentage difference there is between say a tiller Pro V and a console Pro V or an Explorer and the tiller version of it and apply that percentage the price to what you would figure it would go for if it where a Mr. Pike.

See, easy as mud. Or just run or call your local dealer and ask what it would go for on his lot and deduct 15%.
