Engine Oil.

I have a 7.5 hp johnson and currently run quicksilver oil and want to run amsoil. Do any of you use amsoil intercepter in your outboard? If so, with sucess and what ratio?

I would use whatever Johnson recommends.

Sorry about being slow to respond, I've not been able to log in for a couple of days.

AMSOIL recommends do NOT use Interceptor in an outboard. (Interceptor is designed to work best in power valve equipped 2-stroke engines - most snowmobiles, many 2-stroke ATVs, and many 2-stroke jet-skis.)

Is your 7.5 a premix engine? For premix you can use either Saber Outboard - as lean as 100-1 (the water cooled outboard cousin to Saber Professional that many use in their air cooled augers and other equipment); or HP Injector at 50-1 premix or in all outboard injection systems.
