LwnmwnMan2
Sure, you can put down the preventer, but heed this warning. You're not going to be able to both seed and put down the preventer. The preventer works by not allowing new grass seeds (crabgrass) to germinate. The preventer isn't smart enough (although, yes there is one brand which is supposed to allow you to) the preventer isn't smart enough to distinguish between crabgrass seeds and regular grass seed. You'll block the seed you're trying to get to grow. S.D. Ice Angular
Thanks LwnmwnMan2,The preventer is for the front yard and the new seed will be in the back yard.I think it will be OK if you say it is warm enough to plant seed and spread the preventer.ThanksS.D. LwnmwnMan2
It might be a bit early for new seed. The last thing you want is for the new seed to germinate, and then get a freeze like last week.
