I have a 3 yr old gateway desktop. When you turn it on a few seconds later a blue screen comes up with no codes or writing on it, any ideas? I tried a different monitor and no go. I've also have had 3 mother boards replaced in this computer by geek squad. This was all in 8 months, thank god I had the extended warrenty $1000 a piece. Any help would be great!!

In the last month there has been an issue with PCs running XP, that are infected by the Alureon rootkit, blue screening after running Windows update and restarting. I'm not sure if this is your problem or not. Microsoft does have a fix.
