First camera..

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Im really interested in getting a digital SLR camera but have no idea where to start. I am in a photo class at school and am really enjoying learning about all the different things that go into taking a high quality photo. Im wondering what a good camera would be for something no more than $400 new or used...

Thanks,

Jordyn

Nothing at all wrong with that camera body. Canon makes some top notch gear. The thing that is more important than the gear is the person with there finger on the shutter. If you like how you composed the shot that is all that matters. The most interesting shots often times seem to be the stupidest ideas. As we have said so often on this board go to a camera shop and put some bodies in your hands and see what one feels the best. Good Luck!

If you look on POTN or FredMiranda they will both have a used or For Sale section and you should be able to get some decent gear for $400.00 or at least a good body with a kit lens. I only know Canon's but a used 30D would be a well built camera and can be found for that price with only 10,000 to 15,000 shots taken and they are rated for 100,000 shots.

Bodies will lose there value but good glass will appreciate in price.
