Suburban 2 Burner cooktop

hibanks1

Question

Just bought a wheel house and the previouse owner didn't hookup the Suburban Cooktop...for some reason the Gas Knobs on the Cooktop are not coming off...shouldn't they just pop off like any other stove? Once they are off then I assume i can get to the gas connection...

I would assume that you are trying to take the top cover off the unit?

look real close for small set screw in the knob but I dont think that they put those in there, most of them did just pull off. Also some of those cook tops had the gas connection on the back or the side of the unit

decided that they must just be pushed on....and pulled up on the cover and they finally came off...broke but they seem to function just fine when put back on and are still not that easy to just pull off...
