I've been fighting a bad cold for the last week and a half or so, so I haven't been able to get out. Did manage to find some perch a couple weeks ago, but that is about it for me...

What's the word from those that have been out?

Was on waubay sat off of wika's access. The only way to get around is on snowmobile or tracked atv, there where a few slush pockets. Snowed about 4" on sat and blew like a banshe on sun. We caught some pearch, enough for a good meal.

i havent been out actually for about a week or so now just because of the weather. i tried this past weekend but the storm kept me off the lake. i would imagine the bite is still on especially with the lack of fishing pressure but i would recommend an atv or snowmobile to get around. this weekend is gonna be a good one to get out on weatherwise, so hopefully your trip turns out to be sucessful. if there is one thing i have found to be true this year it would be to move move move until you sit right on top of em. even if you gotta do it by foot. those fish (especially waubay and bitter) are very antsy for some reason and they do not stay put for long. good luck

Great weekend to be on the lake. The weather was absolutely perfect. Snow defititely was a challenge but with the sleds and tracks we were able to get around easily. Hit up Bitter all day Friday and Saturday, basically just hopping around trying to hit up some structure where we hoped the fish would be. Didn't do great either day, but were able to find a few real nice perch and boy are they pigs when you get them. The walleye bite was slow, caught quite a few small fish though. Plenty of 6 inch walleyes and a lot of 13 inchers as well. One 22 inch walleye was caught and released. Few northerns in between. Sunday we decided to try Reetz Lake. Lots of people fishing, had to of been a 100 people out there. Had no real idea as to where to fish so we just picked a spot and started drilling holes. Hole hopping was definitely the way to go, I never fished one hole for over a couple of minutes. Only caught fish right after the lure was dropped. We probably caught 12 real nice perch. Also caught a few small crappies and one bonus 24 inch walleye that was released. Overall the fishing was slow, but we were able to get enough to eat and had a great weekend on the lake.

Fished Reetz Friday and Saturday. Fishing was slow on Friday. Got 5 perch between two guys. Red maggots worked the best. Only got one in the first spot we tried. Moved away from the big crowd on the north end and got the other 4.

Saturday was fair for me. I got 7 perch and 4 crappies. My Dad got one crappie. Crappies and perch were mostly 10 to 12 inches long. Marked fished all morning but they would not bite. Dead stick with minnows work best Today. If your bobber moved down at all set the hook. Light biters today.

When we cleaned the fish they were full of bloodworms and small leeches.

You can get around with a 4 wheeler just fine.
