Okay, let me preface this with the last 4 years we have been camping on Red Cedar Lake in my dad's RV which is rather small and old. so my brother and I were talking tonight and we decided to come up with a new plan for our Mid-june trip. We are looking to rent a cabin (sat-mon or tuesday) and want a smaller lake that has a decent fish population. Looking for walleyes, smallmouth and pike or some combination.....I have a boat and we want to try and stay away from Hayward and the more popluar touristy lakes, what suggestions do you have?

My Brother lives in Eau Claire so he and My dad will travel from there, I will be leaving from the cities that Saturday Morning.....

We liked Red Cedar but would like to actually keep a few walleyes instead of putting them all back so maybe finding a least restrictive body of water would be great!

Thanks in advance

Big McKenzie might fit your bill, there's a couple resorts on it that rent cabins. If the fish aren't biting there, you have a ton of others lakes close by like Middle McK., Lipsett, Benoit, Bass, and some smaller lakes that have bass, bluegills, and northerns.
