anybody having luck at warmwater discharges?

i'm thinking about hitting some open water this weekend. has anyone been having any luck?

shelf ice and deep snow have kept me from accessing a couple of spots I'd like to get to this winter. That and these below zero temps that keep pestering us up here.

When the temps were in the low 30's I did have luck under a dam on the Cannon. A lot of Perch and a Carp. I was using a waxworms so that may be why I didn't catch a lot of Carp. I did return a day or two later to try for some of the Carp but because of high winds I did not try again.

I'm pulling the open water gear out this weekend to look for some Carp. Has anyone been getting out lately? Should be a decent weekend.

I was out on Saturday and Sunday for a few hours at the Blackdog discharge in Eagan, tried crawlers and corn but nothing was biting. If it's nice out this coming weekend I'll be out there again.

I got my pole all rigged up but I don't know of any open water areas near where I live (NE Metro).

I'll be out again this weekend at the same place, may pick up a few sucker minnows and see if they can get a bite.
