Has anyone used the new iPilot product for the Powerdrive V2 model? I am looking to purchase the new head for my unit, and want to know if anyone has made the operation to the switch out the head unit.

That's the trouble this time of year. The cool new stuff is out, but nobody has a chance to get out and use it till spring. Unless of course you fish the river.

I'm a little surprised they can use the name "i" pilot, because of Apple's trade marks.

I will be anxious to hear some reports. After digging in a little more I have made some discoveries. I might have to shag the V2 altogether for a Terrova. If I did is there a place I could sell it my used trolling motor? I don't want to lose the foot pedal functionality, and I would if I put the iPilot head on the current V2. I want to have both features available. I also want the built in sonar feature of the Terrova. I am buying a new Humminbird 898, and want to move the current 565 to front and connect it to the new Terrova.

Getting the Terrova would mean I would need to switch over to 24 volt, currently 12 volt. All of these exercises are new to my brother and I, but i know what i want to do atleast, and I have been lucky enough to save a enough schillings to make it happen. Sure would help if my brother chipped in though!!!
