cgorman,

I have an ice45 as well, and really do like it. I had a problem with the device as well and the customer service # was pretty helpful.. YOu can either dial the number on humminbird site or email customer service at:

[email protected]

I know there is another thread about humminbirds and I think there is a contact whose name is Eddie@humminbird.

I took my new ice45 out of the box and it had the same problem you're describing, my brother has the ice55 and also had the same problem. Humminbird will fix the problem and you'll have it back in about a week. They replace the disk. Sounds like more than a few people are having this problem, hopefully they have this problem taken care of, I know my brother and I really like the Humminbirds, hopefully they hold up like my vexilar always had, I kept my vexilar so I at least have a back-up!!??

Humminbird does have great customer service, I just hope I dont need it again.

Jigging Joe,

I am just curious as to what your gain needs to be set to in order to see your jigs in about 18FOW. I have an ice 35 and set the gain at about 25 or half way to see my jigs in 18FOW. Also, my jigs would dissappear after a while. Just wondering if you can see your jigs in deep water or if you find this to be somewhat of a problem on yours as well. I do not have a lot of experience with flashers, so this I may be the problem more than anything else.

Thanks,

Simple1
