Did my first patrol of the season around the Marenisco, MI area this afternoon. I was very surprised to see the trails in such good condition after the NY weekend traffic. Ironwood/Bessemer picked up at least 16" of new snow over New Years and although the Marenisco area received less trails there were fair to good. I susect that Bergland north and east probably got a lot also. I ran a 15 mile stretch of Trail 2 and 11S west of Marenisco and was the only tracks on the freshly groomed trail... awesome ! Only saw 18 other sleds in 40 miles of riding. Be safe and watch out for the other guy/gal !!!!
