ice house heater

Question

i have a remington ice house heater, w/20 lb. propane tank, been having problems with keeping it lit. goes for a while 5-15 minutes the flame flutters with the pilot light then out, but restarts right away and the whole process starts over, could it be a bad regulator ?

Depending on how many btu's it is...tank size definitely important...if small tank would need to be kept fuller, may half issues as it gets lower..if that doesnt do it..also check vent hole on regulator..can cause pressure problems if it is blocked.

I had nothing but trouble with the Remington heaters...and they have gone bankrupt recently so good luck returning it.

I had returned mine and tried a new one - still no luck. I also hooked it up to a 100lb cylinder - still no luck.

Junk in my eyes, I bought a Empire and have had decent luck with it. I did need to add a fan/blower to get more out of it, but at least it stays lit.

turns out the regulator was freezing up, heater works fine above 0 degress, any lower temp and the stove shuts down, turned out i took hand warmers and wrapped a towel around them to cover the reg a tip to remember when fishing in extreme cold weather
