1988 Dodge W-250 with a 318

So here's the deal I developed a leak in the high pressure hose, no big deal right, just install a new hose and be on your way.

Well new hose installed and system bled, I now have assist when steering left and no assist turning right. I am 90 certain it will need a new steering box but very confused with the timing. If anyone has any insight it would be welcome.

Sounds to me like you got a bad steering box. However you may want to flush the system and start over with new fluid first. You might be out 5 bucks in fluid if it doesn't work but its worth a shot.
