Chrysler T&C tires go flat every night (Updated)

Recommended Posts

Before you go off on them I'd remove the tire and verify where the leak is. It would be a stretch, but running over something on the road and having 3 tires with slow leaks is not unheard of. Not saying its impossible but its very unlikely that 3 of 4 wheels on a vehicle that new are corroded bad enough to leak. You'd hate to be standing there all mad just to have them show you nails sticking out of 3 of your tires. Just sayin'......

We had this problem last winter as well, only with just 2 tires.

Then this summer, no leakage. I'd have to say there's no nails in the tires.

Also, my parents have one that leaks on their van as well.

I pumped them all up to 40-47 psi (by tire pressure reading on dash) this morning before the wife went to work.

By the time she got home, the front passenger is down to 23, but the rest read the same pressure.

I used the van about 8:30 and the pressure was down to 17, driver's side rear, which hadn't leaked before, was down to 32.

Looks like I'll be getting up in 5 hours to pump up some tires again.

We dropped the van off at the shop the night before.

They took the tires in first thing in the morning when they were flat and found that the o-ring was leaking around the Tire pressure monitoring.

They tightened the nut and we took it home.

This morning the front two were fine, although the passenger front still lost about 3 lbs, although that could just be fluctuation from the cold, as we're going off the TPM within the dash, and not putting an actual gauge on the tire.

The passenger rear was flat again (6 lbs) so I have to check with the tire shop to see if they 'fixed' that one, or just the fronts.
