1996 Ford Taurus Doors won't stay shut in cold weather

My daughter has a ford taurus on which when it gets cold the doors won't relatch after opening. We tried Wd 40 helps some. -25 today is there something better to use?

It sound's like there is too much lubrication in the door latch. You know how your reel's get stiff in the extreme cold. Try using a cleaner type spray on the latch mechanism like PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench. These can be found in any auto part's store. You could even try using the spray for cleaning brake's if all else fail's. Hope this help's you. 1DIRTBALL

Clean them out with a liberal amount of brake cleaner. then spray them with Seafoam Deep Creep.

WD40 freezes, so it isnt a good option to lube outdoor stuff with!
