Very interested in this tourney.

I am a little confused on the format. Are you allowed to cull fish and only weigh the top 3 fish you have for the day?

you cannot put a fish in livewell and replace it ,if you do not want to wiegh fish return it immediatly to water

we will give you 3 tags each time you register and these go on fish and cannot be transferred to another fish[but we remove at weigh site and these do not harm fish.and we will do random boat checks and check at each re-register

You register to fish for upto 3 fish,any more than 3 in boat at any inspection or 2 species at time and you are out

you can fish for upto 6 smallmouth

6 largemouth or

6 walleye

which means you weigh upto 3 -re-register for upto 3

to Minnesota daily limits and slots

you can weigh a fish at a time example 9 pound walleye is probaly going to win 1st plus large walleye

last time team got 1st- 4th and large fish --3 prizes

it can really add up quick as another team got 3rd- big fish -and top cancer survivor

the $100 team entry is due each time you want to go out checks are ok until June 1st re-entry will be cash or debit card as will be entrys after June 1st

we are a Monday tourney so we are only one in state that day

in case of poor weather we will use fish pond with feaux fish indoors for contests CASH PAYOUT

we will also be doing fall tournament[bonus for teams with weight included from June tournament]and first out

fish caught in water will be tagged by team- removable only by us-it will not harm fish

if you catch a 9 pound walleye you might want to weigh it -even by itself as probally got one of 4 top weights and big fish-go back out try for upto 3 more with one over slot and weigh again

if you have heavy fish and heavy 3 weight and have a Cancer Survivor in boat and take another say 4th like team did last tourney thats $500 heavy fish

Also Tuesday June 15th we will be holding our Kids fishing Contest and work stations at the Lions Park and on the city docks kitty corner from O neils at 6:30 P.M..Kids must be pre registered by June 1st.A parent or gurdian will need be present at all times .We also have 30 rods and reels for use if they do not have any and all baits and plastics will be provided as usual.

On Sunday June 13th we will have Spicer Mn's first Fishing banquet,for teams and open to the public.

This includes supper of all items on regular menu,seminars by some of best Walleye or Bass fishermen,silent auction of gear [some very high end items have been donated already for this ].

This will start at 5;00p.m. which is the same time pre-fish cutoff takes effect.

Goes until 9:00 p.m. and will be open to public besides fishing teams.Remember if you have not registered you still can than but you will not show in brochure or local papers etc.All items from silent auction will need be picked up by close.This evebt is at The Spicer American Legion Post.

We will start again Monday morning June 14th at the legion with them preparing breakfast starting at 5:00 a.m.Team meeting if you were not at Sunday banquet at 6:30.However you can register upto 9:00a.m. Monday after reading rules and signing forms.

BIG NEW BONUS High school or college top finishing team will get another $500.00 cash prize.This is in addition to any other prize these teams may win.

reason is that we are going to try get Mn school tournament seperate for next year

last time a father son who never fished Green before and were in the first tournament of their lives placed in the Bass side of tournament

another team teen and 72 year old won 3 of the prizes so I think it creates a category for additional teams.

you can enter a team this year that has a college and high school student combined.But both must be students

we also had a husband wife win a prize.

with the 1 to 3 fish it is very possible to win several prizes even fishing alone.

i think we have as much covered as possible and remember amatuers took 80% of the money last tourney

thats also why the entry fee is so low
