Fishing in Florida

I will be in Orlando over the New Year's weekend and was wondering if anyone could give me a suggestion on where to go deep sea fishing. What city or port would be the best to go out of, names of charters, etc. Thanks for any help you can give.

Fort Myers is about 2+ hours away from Orlando. My guess is that you will have a pretty long drive to get to any good deep sea fishing. I just came back from florida and I was right by Fort Myers. I would strongly suggest going bass fishing. I had some pretty good luck in the golf course ponds fishing from shore. Just watch out for the gators. They like going after the fish after they are hooked.

I fished at Two C's out of Clearwater Beach last winter. That's right by Tampa. A couple locals recommended this guy. We caught a lot of fish and had a great time. The number is 727-797-0784.
