Wife gave me the OK to get another LDH Net

She asked me what I needed 2 for. I asked her what if one broke? I needed a back up. It didn't take much and I won her over.

Which should I get?

It will be a steelhead net for sure.

Only question is which kinda wood?

I am leaning towards a curly walnut like the one above that use to have.

I only have one net now.

Either sold or gave away nets to people that loved them.

My birdseye maple net is my current and favorite and has some serious MOJO in it

looked around lots

looked at rubber bags....way too heavy for my net release...

looked at light weight rubber bags....looked flimsy...easily torn...

Ordered my LDH net this morning in walnut with maple on hoop.

Had people trying to get me to go rubber because of the better handling of the fish. My non-tapered DEEP bag on my LDH net has worked fine. The trout aren't made of glass and can handle much more handling than the be careful crowd say.
