Surface Tension
I'm going to have a talk with my mail man because I haven't gotten my invitation to your new years party with lobster and shrimp on the barbie yet. I use skewers on the shrimp. Use two or flat ones so the shrimp doesn't spin when you turn them. I don't know about grilling lobster though, I think I'd boil them. Have lots of melted butter. MNHuntress
Here's your answer to the shrimp and lobster recipes, both turn out great everytime.Shrimp Marinade¼ cup olive oil3 Tbl Soy Sauce2 Tbl Water¼ cup white wine2 tsp garlic (can use jar minced garlic)½ tsp ginger (can use jar variety)About 1 lb. of shrimp, nice sized, deveined, shell removedCovers about 1 lbs of shrimp, marinate minimum 3-4 hours or I like to marinade about 7-8 hours and the flavor is great. To Grill: Take bamboo skewers and soak them in water for an hour or so. Thread approximately 6 shrimp on a skewer. Spray the grill with Pam to prevent sticking. Grill approximately 4-5 minutes per side, watching so they don’t burn. Serve with additional garlic butter or cocktail sauce.Cocktail Sauce (Once you’ve had this stuff, you won’t buy the store bought again)¾ Cup Chile Sauce2 Tbl lemon juice2 Tbl Horseradish2 tsp Worchestershire3 drops of TabascoMix and chill, You can make it hotter by adding more Tabasco or HorseradishLobster on the grill2 ½ to ¾ lb Lobster tails1 heaping tsp to 1 tbl garlic (can use the jar stuff)¾ stick of butter or soPut lobster tail so belly is down, with a sharp cooking shears cut the shell in half lengthwise (big end to the little end). Being very careful to cut only the shell not the meat. Carefully butterfly the tail open leaving shell on. Coat inside of shell/meat with garlic butter. Spray Pam on the grill.Cook belly side down for 6-7 minutes, coat with butter mix, flip over, cook 6-7 minutes again with belly up. Flip drizzle more butter inside of shell and serve.
