south_metro_fish
I am trying walleyes on the ice for the first time and I dont have a vex but have a camera with infrared lights. I went back to last years posts around this time and picked up some good tips. I ran across a post about camera use well fishing for walleyes. They were talking about down viewing with the camera about 3 feet from your hole you are fishing from. They also talked about how lights were a no no. I am assuming they were talking about LED lights. But I am wondering if they notice the infrared lights on a camera. They seem to let you see very well after the sun goes down and they dont seem to let off much light but I know they glow a little red. Has any body had any experience using infrared well fishing for eyes and if it spooks them.
Boker001
I was thinking about putting blue LED's to light my holes so that the bobber lights up to make it easier to see if your having a nibble. Is that illegal or will that keep fish away?
south_metro_fish
From what I have read in the regs I would think as long as you are not using as a fish attractor and using it for lighting and it is not submerged in the ice or water I would assume it is legal.
