Sauk River Training

Has anyone had a dog trained by Sauk River pointing Labs? How are they with the dogs?

Iv'e trained with a couple of dogs that went through there basics program, I thought they were fine. Depends what your plans are for your dog. If your looking for gun dog training possibly hunt test training every thing I saw was right on track. If your looking at upper level HT or FT training then I would look else where. I don't believe the dogs basics were quite as solid as Most I have seen that come from FT programs.

I planted birds for a APLA event a few years back and David ( I think thats his name) seemed to be a pretty good handler as well.

I believe he has a pretty good track record with pointing labs.

I think I would agree with Todd, and with that said if I was going to have someone train my dog on anything it would probably be David (I'm not a FT guy, and do my own training). I don't believe he does any FT's, but as far as gun dog/hunt test training I think he would be a good choice. I know of a few guys that have used him in the past with good results.....I think that was more basics and bird intro though. I don't know anyone that has a fully trained dog from David so I can't speak to that aspect.

I can tell ya they produce some good gun dogs.
