jwmiller33
since it is the time where there is a couple inches of ice in some parts of the state, i want to know what you guys do for safety precautions when out on thin ice. i am going to be fishing this saturday with 4 other guys in the duluth area, and we want to be as safe as possible. specifically, i know to bring rope, picks, lifejackets, and have friends close by at all times. my specific question is do you guys tie anything to the end of the rope you have like a buoy or something to grab onto? how many feet of rope do you bring out? Will
i bring about 50 ft of rope with loops tied at the ends, big enough for someone to get an arm through.
team wild
An ice chisel is also smart so as you are walking out you can be checking the ice ahead of you. be safe and good luck
