Guest
Well if you want to get into the big walleyes now is the time. On Sunday pulled up a 28 inch, that had to go 9 + lbs. Took pictures and measurements then let her go. Also helped one group pull in a 25 inch and seen a group to the north of me pull in a 29 inch walleye. All of this action happended in the early afternoon. Anyway it was nice to see all three of these fish released. woods
Guest
I can't agree more Woods that CPR - Catch, Photo and Release is a good thing to see and do for any fishery.Walleye and northern fishing on Devils Lake is going to get ridiculously easy from now until post-spawn. They are going to be extremly vulnerable to fishing pressure. The bigger fish will be more accesable to all fisherman... icefisherman, shore fisherman and those who launch small boats in the open water areas. If we are to sustain our fishery, no I should say EXPAND our fishery, we need to show common sense and get away from viewing fishing as means of providing food for the table and see it as sport for the 21st century. We just about lost our wildife resources at the last turn of the century, lets be more wise at the start of this century.------------------Kevin Neve's Devils Lake Guide Servicefishingminnesota.com/kevin-neve-guiding/e-mail: [email protected]Phone: 701-473-5411 or 701-351-4989Minnewaukan ND[This message has been edited by kevin neve (edited 03-19-2002).]
