fishhuntwork
I was wondering if anyone has sighted in a BDC scope? The info they give you with the scope seems difficult at best to understand. Any help would be great.
MNgunhead
You need to sight it in with the crosshairs on the bull at 100 yards. Then, using the crosshairs, shoot at 200 yards. The 200 yard group will land below the 100 yard group Mark the two groups with something that allows you to see where the two groups are at 200 yards from the bench. Then, looking through the scope, adjust the power until the 100 yard mark is on the crosshairs and the 200 yard mark is centered in the circle below. You will then know what power to set the scope to when you need to make a long shot. Mark the power setting on the scope with a paint pen so you have a quick reference when hunting. You will want to test out the other circles in the reticle at the various distances to be sure each distance works properly.
MNgunhead
The previous post was for a bdc rifle scope, but the process is the same for the slug scope.
