mmeyer
Hey all you experts out there. I have a Craftsman snowthrower attachment that has a bad drive pulley. Unfortunately, the parts are discontinued even though It's only 10 years old. I need a replacement v-belt pulley that has a 6" OD and a 3/4" ID with a 3/16" keyway.Anyone have any ideas? LwnmwnMan2
Take it to a Napa or Nabpco. You might be able to get it at a Checkers, Auto Zone, or other store, but I've found the first two are more of a grease monkey's store and have a better selection of products that arem't just there to make your car pretty. IL Res
Contact Motion Industries. Bearings, seals, chains, sprokets, and pulleys are their core. They're on the web. The closest branch to you is in Eden Praire or Mankato. They definitely can get you one. They will probably need the belt size for correct pulley v-belt pitch. Good luck! mmeyer
Thanks guys. I found one in town luckily. I figured if I couldn't find one online I wouldn't find one in town but I did at Runnings. I'm much happier now. I almost choked when the Sears parts rep said, "sorry those parts are discontinued but I can tell you which snowblower attachments are on sale right now." Yeah, I'm glad I didn't spend $1000 for a $20 pulley. Thanks again for the help.
