BlueLundFishrman
What do you use for cleaning muzzleloader? I use the pellets not the powder, does that change what to use? Thanks.
mskyfshntchr
What you shoot- pellets or loose doesn't matter. I use boiling water and a little soap. Not 100% sure on the soap brand- it is a bar my parents have and we have used for as long as I can remember. We don't use much though. When the barrel is so hot you can't hold it anymore- it's clean. Stand it up, let it dry for a few minutes- it essentially evaporates it is so hot. Dry wipe it a few times. Then run an oil patch down it- we use TC Bore Butter. Depending upon your type of gun- you may have the barrel up or down into the water. We use a coffee can for the water. Just make sure you get the ignition area clean. Might need to use a toothbrush or other brush to get it clean. I clean mine every day after shooting it- I have a TC Omega. Good luck.
