Jonesin4eyes
I noticed there are a couple of special regulation for the Croix. I got this from the 2002 regs on the DNR site - not sure if anything might have changed for 2003. Since it is a Wisconsin-Minnesota border water, some regulations differ from statewide inland regulations. Some of these are: it is legal to use two lines; a 15" minimum size limit for walleye; a 14" minimum size limit for smallmouth/largemouth bass and a limit of five; a limit of two northern pike (no size restrictions); a 36" minimum size limit for muskellunge; and a 40 day season for lake sturgeon with a limit of one per season and 50" minimum size limit.
