Bemidji Duck Hunting

I was just wondering if anybody knew of a good place to go duck hunting in the Bemidji area because i can't find a decent spot to save my life. Thanks

No one is just going to give you a spot. Put some miles on the vehicle and find em, that will be your best luck. Or go on the DNR HSOforum and looks for the WMAS and federal land

Library Park by Paul and Babe is usually pretty good. Make sure to buy a loaf of bread to get them in close!

I've been in the area 25 years and have not found a really good spot to consistantly hunt. Winnie is supposed to be good but I,ve not tried it (worried that my boat is too small). Blackduck lake used to get some good late flights but haven't seen that in years. Your best bet (if you have a canoe and aren't afraid of hard work) would be to explore creeks and rivers looking for beaver dams. If there are corn fields nearby it will help. If you can find a field they are feeding on there are ducks to be shot but you don't see them unless you are looking at the right time in the right place.
