Phred52
I'm in south central Minnesota (yea, I know...It's my own fault) Anyway, I'm trying to find 'Hon-Mirin' aka Sweet Japanese cooking wine. I have tried the local stores of all varieties, as far away as Burnsville to no avail. Any suggestions? I can order it over the net, but shipping is 75% higher than the cost of the wine!! $4bottle /$7shipping) I'm looking for either 'Hon-Mirin' or 'Shin-Mirin'. It SHOULD be an easy one, it's the basic ingredient in soy sauce!! DON'T want the 'Aji-Mirin' as that requires several steps and much time to turn it into fax Hon-Mirin. Thanks, Phred52
polarsusd81
I will take a look at my local asian food store. They have just about everything there.
Chef
There are a ton of markets in Bloomington, here are a couple to call. You'll probably have to hump it farther north than Burnsville, sorry to say.Asian Direct Oriental Market. 607 E 77th St Minneapolis, MN 55423-4403 ... Phred52
Thanks Chef and Polar, I figured I'd need to get into the Cities a little farther to the truly Asian neighborhood markets to find it. I've only been into Burnsville for other purposes so I thought I'd look as long as I was there. I will give the numbers a call. Thanks again, Phred52
