Nestor Falls Fishing Report from 10/18

Recommended Posts

just returned from our yearly trip to YoungsWildernesCAmp. We had 2 boats with one rotating some friend. The total catch was 26 muskies boated. 49" was the tops and 30" was the smallest. Most of the fish were caught on rocks in open water. A few were caught on islands with spares grass. We caught very few pike and only one smallie. Lures ranged from differnt things. The top 4 were Mepps yellow/brw muskie Killer, Smallmouth colored Stalker by lungberg, muskie pattern 6" grandma, and a Blk with #10 double silver blade bucktail by Fatboylures. Weather really didn't help out. I can't image what the numbers would have been if we had fall weather as opposed to Summer weather. If your are out there keeping working the rocks. Circle 2or 3 timesbefore you quit Good luck

Good post! I'm kind of a rookie musky hunter and I love to hear about how the skis are biting. I was up to the Morson area the weekend of 9-12 and 9-19 trying to find muskies. Threw EVERYTHING at them! Tried every color, size and type of lure. Threw every type of structure and even trolled swimbaits. We landed one 27" walley. We later heard from a dock hand that a bunch of guys were hitting them in shallow water on sand beaches??? Didn't think to try that??? We're headed up again on Friday for another 3 days to try to get some revenge. ANY tips would be greatly appreciated. PM me if you'd like.
