Help!!!!!!!!

My 13 month old lab for the last three weeks has been battling terrible allergies. Itching all the time and a extreme loss of energy. I hope i am alone on this but if not I would appreciate any advice from anyones past experiences with this.

My past lab had the same problem, took him to the doc and they gave hima steroid called prednisone. Took care of all the problems.

Yup, that works! Had a past dog that had the same problem this time of year. Prednizone did the trick!! I think it was fairly cheap also. By the way welcome To FM.

thanks for the response guys. After taking him on his first hunt the other day and him only being able to go for about ten minutes for a dog that normally goes all day nonstop was very concerning. it is nice to know there is something that can help.

prednisone is like a magic pill for our dog this time of year. No idea what he is allergic to and why it only happens in late Aug, but it happens every year.
