cps420us
I just purchased a Death Row Goose call and am new to blowing a short reed. Just wondering what everyone thinks would be a good CD to buy for learning all the basics.
camo_marc
Have not used it but heard good things about "Bad Grammer" from Scott Threinen. He is from the Rochester area and is a champion caller. I believe the HSOforum for it is moltgear dot com.

Maxxed Out
If you really want make good use of that purchase take it in the car with you and get an instructional cd. I was on the Foiles HSOforum today ordering decals for my trailer and in the clearance section they have his old cd on clearance for $5. He has a new one out, but that is the one I learned on and its great. I took mine everywhere when I started, and I used to get so mad that I would throw it in the glove box and swear it off forever and then I would pick it up five minutes later and start working on it again. Just master the basics, cluck, moan growl and the rest will come.
carpshooterdeluxe
bad grammar, ancient art of paralyzing geese, foiles, grounds, there are plenty of great instructionals out there!
cutter08
I really think the bad grammer dvd is very good. Not saying the other ones are bad but i think Scott brakes it down a little better. From showing you how to put your hands on the call to how to use different calls in the field.
Gordie
to be totally honest with you I have never used one of these cd/dvd's before but I started by listening to the real thing as I was able to before hunting season. I lived across from a pond that was in town and would sit in the yard in the mornings and evenings and just listen. with that said I wish I would of taped some of those mornings and evenings to listen to again cause I dont live in that place any more.I'm not saying that is the best way to learn how to call geese but it defitnatly letts you understand the sounds they do make and just how vocal they really are.
