Sabaskong Bay and Nestor Falls

My family will be taking our annual trip to Nestor Falls. Looking for some info on the fishing. been good or been okay.Any info would be greatly appreciated. StM

I'll be fishing out of Nestor Falls (Split Rock area) for our annual trip Sept. 19 thru 26. If you look at the Morson reports, that should give you an idea. The closest we ever get to Morson is Hay Island. Don't know when you're going but I'll post results when I return. Can't wait, yee-ha!

The hot weather kinda had a negative effect on the crappies but the walleyes have been good. Try and find clearer water if you are looking for pike. Remember to use the weather as a guide not your calendar. If it is summer temps and summer water clarity then the fish will most likely be in summer styler routines. One thing to look out for is the cool nights and warm days, its means the fish will be moving all day as the water warms up.

Returned 9/25 from a week out of Nestor Falls. Weather was great, fishing was slow (walleyes & crappies). Water temp hasn't cooled down for the fish to turn on to the fall pattern.

Found a few fish here and there, moved around a lot, no numbers in any one area.
